«It is time to come back to Berlin to A-Trane. Our last concert was unforgettable for us. We are presenting our new Album «Mosaic»on this day. This is absolutely one of our favorite places, to do it. We look so much forward to see you all there.»

The world-famous Moroccan percussionist Rhani Krija and the Swedish pianist Jacob Karlzon may come from different cultural backgrounds, but they are on the same wavelength both personally and musically. Karlzon elicits incredible melodies full of melancholy and tenderness as well as jazzy improvisations from his grand piano, while Krija takes his musical thoughts and spins them out on his various percussion instruments. The result is a lively, highly musical dialog.

Jacob Karlzon is known for his collaboration with all the world’s jazz greats and is very successful with his trio and duo with Victoria Tolstoy.
Rhani Krija regularly performs with greats such as Herbie Hancock, Chick Corea, Al Di Meola, Sting and Herbert Grönemeyer.

Der weltweit bekannte marokkanische Perkussionist Rhani Krija und der schwedische Pianist Jacob Karlzon kommen zwar aus unterschiedlichen Kulturkreisen, sind aber persönlich und musikalisch ganz auf einer Wellenlänge. Karlzon entlockt seinem Flügel unglaubliche Melodien voller Melancholie und Zartheit aber auch jazzigen Improvisationen, Krija nimmt seine musikalischen Gedanken auf und spinnt sie auf seinen vielfältigen Perkussionsinstrumenten weiter. Ein lebhafter, hochmusikalischer Dialog entsteht.

Jacob Karlzon ist bekannt für seine Zusammenarbeit mit allen Jazzgrößen dieser Welt und ist sehr erfolgreich mit seinem Trio und dem Duo mit Victoria Tolstoy.

Rhani Krija tritt regelmäßig mit Größen wie Herbie Hancock, Chick Corea, Al Di Meola, Sting und auch Herbert Grönemeyer auf.
