«RITES OF FIRE LIVE»In their Rites Of Fire program, Kelvin Sholar, Charles Sammons and Eric Vaughn combine forces to explore unique Jazz interpretations of two of Igor Stravinsky’s most famous ballets: The Rite Of Spring and The Firebird Suite.
„Detroit-born jazz pianist and techno producer Kelvin Sholar studied the music of Igor Stravinsky for a decade and a half. He not only studied them, but spiritually penetrated them, transcended them and brought them into the present. At the end of this journey is… Rites Of Fire“… Quite jazzy in some places, leaning more towards techno in others and at times a testament to contemporary chamber music, Sholar does not tread the path of elegant amalgamation, but rather a slalom of far-reaching deviations».
