Swedish-Norwegian drummer Anton Eger returns to Berlin’s A-Trane for a five-night residency filled with explosive energy, bold grooves, and genre-blurring improvisation.
Well known to Berlin audiences through his work with Phronesis, JazzKamikaze, HEL Trio, Æ and long-time collaborator Marius Neset, Eger has built a reputation across Europe for his fearless fusion of jazz, rock, electronics, and pure rhythmic invention. His drumming is both precise and wild — always pushing the music somewhere unexpected.
Winner of Best Jazz Musician at the Danish Music Awards and a recipient of a Danish Arts Foundation grant for his acclaimed debut album Æ, Anton Eger is one of Europe’s most inventive and in-demand drummers.
For this residency, Eger brings together a fresh and rotating lineup of handpicked musicians from across the European scene. Each night will be unique, built on deep interplay, high-energy spontaneity, and the thrill of musical risk-taking.

Joel Lyssarides
In seiner Heimat Schweden gilt Joel Lyssarides als der Piano-Rising-Star der Stunde. Und obwohl sein Name außerhalb Schwedens bislang vor allem Szene- Kennern Begriff sein dürfte, gehören die Aufnahmen des 1992 geborenen Pianisten bereits jetzt zu den meistgehörten des europäischen Jazz: Über 50 Millionen Mal wurden sie in den letzten Jahren allein auf dem Streaming- dienst Spotify aufgerufen. Dahinter steckt kein musikalisches Kalkül, vielmehr folgte Lyssarides stets seiner Intuition. Er sagt: „So sehr wie ich mich auch freue, dass viele Menschen meine Musik offensichtlich sehr mögen und sie immer wieder hören wollen – der Impuls kommt immer aus mir selbst heraus. Ich und mein Piano, das ist Mittelpunkt meiner musikalischen Welt.“
Das ACT Debüt „Stay Now“, Joel Lyssarides drittes Album, ist ein schillerndes, eindringliches Spiegelbild dieser Welt. Und es macht deutlich: Die ist Zeit reif für den Schritt auf die internationale Bühne.

He currently resides in Berlin, Germany.
